The College Station Cougars host the Woodlands Highlanders JV Green team this Friday night at Cougar Field. The Highlanders are 5-1 (3-0 in district) with their only loss coming to the Katy Tigers JV (whose varsity is #1 in 5A).
This will be an extremely challenging opponent who has averaged over 40 points per game this season while allowing less than 20. The Woodlands’ scores so far this season have been: Hightower 43-14, Katy 28-48, Aldine Davis 48-22, Conroe 53-13, A&M Consolidated 14-6, and Lufkin 49-6. The Cougars (3-4) are battling through a number of key injuries but hope to build on two consecutive victories over Taylor JV 28-0 and Caldwell JV 49-6 to even up their record with two games to play in the season
