A&M Consolidated at The Woodlands: Preview

After a disappointing 4-overtime loss to Lufkin to open district play, the Consolidated Tigers are on the road Thursday evening to meet The Woodlands Highlanders.

The Tigers are 0-1 in district play, 3-2 overall, following a thrilling homecoming game withLufkin. The two teams combined for over 1400 yards of offense in a game that took almost 4-hours to complete.Lufkinscored in the fourth overtime on a 25-yard run from running back Kendrick Mapp to wrap up a 71-68 win.

The Highlanders joinLufkinandBryanat the top of 14-5A, coming off a 56-28 win overConroe.  The Woodlands is 3-2 with losses coming from state powers Dallas Skyline and Katy. Thursday’s game kicks off at 7:00 pm at Woodforest Stadium, east of 1-45 onDavid Memorial Drive. Pre-game coverage begins with a visit with Coach David Raffield at 6:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on 1620, WTAW.
