A&M Consolidated will put its district lead on the line Thursday evening when they travel back to Woodforest Stadium to meet the College Park Cavaliers.  Consol is tied for the district lead with The Woodlands at 2-1; the Cavs are 1-1 tied with Lufkin and Oak Ridge.  Consolidated’s previous trip to Woodforest saw the Tigers defeat The Woodlands in a district showdown 21-14.

The Tigers are coming off their eighth win in a row over crosstown rivals, the Bryan Vikings, winning Friday’s game at Kyle Field 54-7.  Consolidated lost starting quarterback Jaylon Cheshire late in the first half to a leg injury.  Back-up quarterback and initial season-starter Weston Garner came in to guide the Tigers to 35 second-half points.

Consolidated is 5-2 overall headed into the homestretch of the season and is also tied with The Woodlands in total offense in 14-5A averaging 453.1 yards per game.
