College Station High School recorded its first win last week against the Woodlands JV.
The Cougars raced to a 27-0 first quarter lead and cruised to a 46-13 victory. This week, the Cougars play St. Michael’s Academy out of Austin.
The Crusaders are picked to go a long way in the largest private school classification. They have a veteran squad of 23 seniors and are 3-0 so far this season, having beaten 4A Georgetown Eastview and 2A Marion.
St Michael’s returns eight starters on offense and eight on defense from an 8-4 team that finished first in their league.
